The keynote speaker will be Dr. Neil Murphy, Senior Fellow for Environmental and Sustainable Systems at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) and former President of SUNY ESF. There’s a great article about Dr. Murphy, who served for 13 years as President, in Inside ESF magazine. Last summer Dr. Murphy spoke in a highly engaging way to ReLeaf conferees about the construction and vision of the LEED Platinum Certified Gateway Center at SUNY ESF. At the ReLeaf conference this summer, he will be discussing key issues around water.

Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs: Congrats to Skidmore for becoming a Tree Campus USA this year! Here is an interesting blog about the beloved North Woods on the Skidmore College Campus.

Saratoga in the summer is an ideal destination, with the iconic race track close by as well as Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) (Dave Matthews Band will be performing that weekend). Saratoga is famous for his bubbly springs, which you can sample in Congress Park and elsewhere in town (see Visitor’s Center for a guide). Saratoga is also home to the National Museum of Dance, housed in one of Saratoga’s former “health-promoting” natural springs bathhouses. An excellent video called “Discover Saratoga” can be seen here and below.

Stay tuned to the NYSUFC website for conference registration and further details!
