As the Arbor Day Foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary, our simple mission of inspiring people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees has had an immense impact all over the globe. In five decades, the organization has planted and distributed nearly 500 million trees in more than 50 countries worldwide.
But more than the numbers, we have helped to evolve how people view trees and their importance in our daily lives. Trees are more than simply a means to beautify our neighborhoods — they are a key part of the solution to some of the biggest issues facing our planet. Trees and forests help slow climate change. They foster biodiversity and help keep our ecosystems in balance. They cool our cities and provide equity in neighborhoods in need of green space.
We plant trees because people need trees. This important work must continue and to do so we want to hear from you!
We are currently sharing Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 tree planting and distribution opportunities all around the globe with our proud supporters and we want to include yours. If you have projects in need of sponsorship we would love to begin advocating for your tree needs… now! Please follow the link below and tell us all about your inspiring tree planting projects. Priority will go to projects submitted by August 26, 2022 by midnight PST. Projects can be submitted after this date as the link will remain open.
