The Municipal Forestry Institute (MFI) is promoting a national diversity leadership opportunity in a partnership between the Society of Municipal Arborists (SMA), Southern University Urban Forestry, and Natural Resources and USDA-Forest Service.
Participants of ethnic and racial diversity who are accepted to the Diversity in MFI program will receive a stipend to cover the following costs:
  • $2,199 registration fee for SMA members or $2,299 non SMA members
  • All course material
  • Five nights of hotel lodging
  • All meals from Sunday supper-Friday breakfast, Feb. 24 – March 1, 2019 in Oregon Garden Resort, Silverton, OR.
  • $500.00 travel stipend
