On April 22 the Village of Tuxedo Park celebrated Arbor Day/Earth Day and nine years of being a Tree City USA.

It was a great day for all. A total of six native trees were planted, including fringe trees, a hawthorn and an oak.

Students from the local George Grant Mason Elementary School led the planting efforts.

The volunteer Fire Department, EMS, the Village’s Trustees and Department of Public Works were also on hand to help.

The Grand Finale: Students delighted all participants with their interpretation and performance of the poem, “Trees of the Fragrant Forest.”
