Ethical and Cultural Considerations for Corporate Volunteers in Underserved Communities
This 1.5 hour training from Alliance for Community Trees will equip participants with real world examples, simulations and scenarios to prepare for conversations with corporate volunteers about how to approach community engagement ethically and with sensitivity.
The virtual training will take place on March 19, 2024 from 11-30 a.m.-1 p.m. (ET).
The session will be facilitated by Dr. Christine Carmichael of Fair Forests Consulting. Dr. Carmichael holds a Ph.D. in Forestry with a Specialization in Gender, Justice, and Environmental Change as well as a Graduate Certificate in Community Engagement from Michigan State University.
