ReLeaf is offering a free webinar – a lunch time event on October 25, 2023, noon EST, with Dr. Lincoln Larson of NC State on his research into equitable urban greening. Trees are excellent partners in the fight against climate change and recent federal funding in the Inflation Reduction Act presents a “tree-mendous” opportunity to add trees to our communities. However, developing equitable tree planting plans that communities can successfully execute is a challenge. Dr. Larson’s research uses social science methods to understand human-environment interactions and address natural resource management and conservation issues, so that program managers can develop strong community supported programs.
